 i've always had this affinity to wedges, and at least 50% of my shoe population are dedicated wedges. so naturally when i saw these, my heart skipped a beat. they are so perfect for fall and the hardest part is figuring out which color is even more perfect. they come in dark purple, black, and this beautiful rust orange. i'll take me a rust orange... and a black... oh just one in every color, please! (hah, dream on)

last week was my 29th birthday. i can finally blog about it now that i've finished hyperventilating. jk. but seriously, i can't believe this is my last year in my 20's!! it just seemed like yesterday when i celebrated my 25th. i have to say that i'm enjoying life more with age, so i guess that is a good thing.

its nice having a birthday so close to labor day weekend (or sometimes even on labor day itself!) so it's always been an extended celebration. i spent labor day celebrating with the family and then my actual day going on a mini adventure with nate. we've never been to mill valley or to muir woods (where the redwoods are) so we decided to take the day off and go on a little stroll. it was a good day... i'm thinking next birthday will be spent somewhere oh, i don't know... in a city of lights! ... at least that's what crossed my mind when i blew out the candles. :)

a wedding and a photobooth

we recently attended a friend's wedding and had such so much fun celebrating with the lovely couple. good friends, good food, good booze, and even a photobooth! we went a little crazy going back and forth in line, but here are some of my favorite takes. you can be sure that when i get married, i will definitely have one of those sucks and hopefully not hog it the whole time... :) LOVE!!!

this news couldn't have come at a better time. happy birthday to meeeee, zara is available for online purchases!!!  i've already made my first purchase(s) and i think they're classics that will last me for years to come! do you notice a theme? i'm in love with two tones! ... but i just love zara shoes! they're so comfy and so stylish.

investments, investments... at least that's what i keep telling myself. :)

sprinkling

I was recently introduced to the chocolate marshmallow cupcake at Sprinkles and i just have to say, i'm obsessed. If it weren't for this 4 hour body challenge (basically i cannot eat any carbs including anything that could be white - potatoes, yams, etc. and get a cheat day to eat anything and everything every 7 days) that i'm doing with Nate, i would be eating these cupcakes everyday. Luckily today is my day 7 and guess what - first stop: Sprinkles cupcakes. and oh i'm so happy!
